fighting to be myself

I have lived thirty years of my life covering my hair. My hair needed to be covered even in presence of my own ...father… . This experience might ring a bell to many village girls and women and of course not to all of them; but many of us have lived with our scarves on even at our own private homes
.
This was how, at least in my case, making a change and fighting to be myself started from the little kitchen of our own
home; away from my father’s eyes though
.
Even after I had started my career as a journalist, I felt uncomfortable showing up with my hair uncovered in front of TV cameras or in public meetings and gatherings
.
I thought showing up on television not wearing a scarf equaled all the tenants of my village, from “Ramezoon, the medicine man” to “Uncle Nowrooz” (a member of the neighborhood council), “Pour-Ali-Jaan” (the teacher of the village), and “Mamdali (Mohammad-Ali) the shopkeeper” who owned the single store at our neighborhood, and all of my father’s close friends, among which my parents were known as honorable people, watching me! And that I was letting my family down in front of everyone by what I was doing; and that I was embarrassing them awfully
.
I know this logic seems just stupid to many people; but to me and some other women I know, taking the scarf off has been accompanied by such worries and uneasiness. About some women who do not believe in Hijab, you could say that they are on one side and then on the other side stand the barriers of family, traditional society, and a government who does not recognize women without hijab
.
However, I know numerous women who have started to practice equality and the freedom of appearance and clothing in their own kitchens, backyards, fields, plains, and neighborhoods. Women stealthily beget these freedoms for themselves, away from the eyes of law, officers, and their own fathers; and consequently find the courage to express those little stealthy freedoms openly in the public. It is nothing more than a simple freedom not capable of harming anyone. The freedom of choice of clothing
.

My homeland is full of stealthy movements

My homeland is full of stealthy movements, we laugh, dance, sing, kiss and hug stealthy and our government steal, kill, rape, lash and ingrate stealthy. These stealthy movements are increasing to overflow and the world sees that, and also sees and also sees. As I am full of hope and attempt for our stolen freedom, Occasionally Suspect to that God which I believe him.
Is not it true that the science has improved and humans are discovering for better life? is not it true that human rights has proved enough that we talk about rights of animals, nature and earth? Is not it true that modern thought punish the cruel man and define privacy for everybody? So where we are in this world
God! Some of your creatures using your name to catch what you gave us, please do not remain silent anymore
