Smear campaign: Iran reports fake rape of woman behind hijab-shedding campaign
The creator of a popular Facebook page where women in Iran share photos of themselves without their compulsory hijabs has come under attack by Iranian state TV, which aired a false report alleging that she had been gang-raped in front of her son at a London subway station.
Exiled Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad created the "My Stealthy Freedom" Facebook page as a place where Iranian women could share photos of themselves without their hijabs and headscarves. Since the page was created in early May, it has garnered close to 500,000 likes, and has been covered extensively in the international media.
On the page, Alinejad posts photos that were sent to her from women in Iran without their headscarves. Accompanying the photos are often deeply personal accounts of womens' feelings about being forced to cover their hair in public .....

(Reuters) - When Masih Alinejad posted a picture of herself online jumping in the air in a sunny, tree-lined London street, the journalist hoped to cheer up readers weary of her stories of grim human rights cases in her native Iran.
She did not expect what followed: a Facebook phenomenon that gained half a million followers in a month and scathing, personal criticism by Iranian state television, accusing her of drug addiction, perversion and insanity.
Inspired by Alinejad's photo, taken in a public place with her hair showing without the Islamic veil that is obligatory in Iran, thousands of women inside Iran uploaded their own self-portraits to a page she hastily set up and called: "My Stealthy Freedom". (here)
"To me, it was like a virtual demonstration on my Facebook page," the 37-year-old told Reuters in an interview, seeming genuinely astonished to find herself the figurehead of a campaign against Iran's restrictions on women's dress.

World press freedom index 2014
The 2014 World Press Freedom Index spotlights the negative impact of conflicts on freedom of information and its protagonists. The ranking of some countries has also been affected by a tendency to interpret national security needs in an overly broad and abusive manner to the detriment of the right to inform and be informed. This trend constitutes a growing threat worldwide and is even endangering freedom of information in countries regarded as democracies. Finland tops the index for the fourth year running, closely followed by Netherlands and Norway, like last year. At the other end of the index, the last three positions are again held by Turkmenistan, North Korea and Eritrea, three countries where freedom of information is non-existent. Despite occasional turbulence in the past year, these countries continue to be news and information black holes and living hells for the journalists who inhabit them. This year’s index covers 180 countries, one more than last year. The new entry, Belize, has been assigned an enviable position (29th). Cases of violence against journalists are rare in Belize but there were some problems: defamation suits involving demands for large amounts in damages, national security restrictions on implementation of the Freedom of Information Act and sometimes unfair management of broadcast frequencies.

ای شاه خائن، به چه حقی بنزین 1,000 تومانی رو 6 ریال می فروختی؟؟ گوشت 30,000 تومانی رو 7 تومان می فروختی؟؟ سکه یک و نیم میلیون تومانی رو 80 تومان؟!

صبا آذرپیک از روزنامه نگاران کشورمان است که سال گذشته نیز برای مدت در بازداشت به سر می برد. این خبرنگار در جریان مرگ ستار بهشتی نقش برجسته ای در پوشش خبری آن داشت.
صبا آذرپیک از جمله خبرنگارانی است که علاوه بر پوشش اخبار مجلس در فضای مجازی نیز فعال بوده و اخبار و گزارش هایی را در صفحه شخصی فیس بوک خود منتشر می کند.
سال گذشته بعد از بازداشت وی مادر صبا آذرپیک گفته بود: ماموران وقتی برای بازداشت صبا به خانه ما آمدند، به صورت پسرم سیلی زدند و همزمان از او فیلمبرداری می کردند، سپس صبا را با خودشان بردند. می خواهم به مسولان بگویم، این راه برخورد با جوان ها نیست، زندان راه حل نیست و نتیجه معکوس دارد.
صبا در آخرین پست خود نوشته بود:
ادمي ست ديگر؛ شايد همين لحظه جانش بخواهد تمام كند و ادامه ندهد.
