IRAN: Ms. Nargess Mohammadi at risk of arrest
Paris-Geneva, November 7, 2014. The Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders, a joint programme of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT), expresses its concern for the freedom and well-being of human rights defender Ms. Nargess Mohammadi following reports that she has been summoned to appear before the Prosecutor’s Office.
Ms. Nargess Mohammadi, Spokesperson and Vice-President of the Defenders of Human Rights Centre, has been summoned to appear before the Prosecutor’s Office based in Evin Prison on November 8, 2014.
On February 14, 2012, Ms. Nargess Mohammadi was sentenced to six years in prison on charges of “assembly and collusion against the national security,” “membership in an illegal group” (referring to the DHRC), and “propaganda against the Islamic Republic.” She appealed this conviction, but her sentence was upheld and she was taken into custody on April 21, 2012 [1]. Ms. Mohammadi was released on bail on July 31, 2012 for medical reasons, and has since continued to advocate and work for the defence of human rights in Iran.
On March 8, 2014, Ms. Mohammadi met the then High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs & Security Policy, Ms. Catherine Ashton during her official visit in Tehran. Ms. Mohammadi was accompanied by the mother of blogger Sattar Beheshti, who died in police custody under torture two years ago. This meeting resulted in numerous attacks against Ms. Mohammadi by ultra-conservative circles and press labelling her as a “seditionist,” and a notice from the Islamic Revolution Prosecutor’s Office on April 31 that she was banned from travelling abroad (although her passport had already been confiscated during another arrest in 2008).
On June 1, she was summoned to the Prosecutor’s Office based in Evin prison and interrogated for several hours. The magistrate questioning her reportedly asked her to defend herself against numerous charges including “disturbing the public opinion” and “assembly and collusion against the national security.” These charges were reportedly related to Ms. Mohammadi’s active participation in various activities including meetings where participants criticised the government’s “Citizenship Charter,” and discussed “International Women’s Day,” and “the Day of Clean Air.”
On October 22, Ms. Mohammadi was among a large number of women and other activists protesting outside the Parliament against the recent acid attacks on women in Iran. In the final week of October, she received a notice summoning her to the Prosecutor’s Office in Evin Prison. Nevertheless, Ms. Mohammadi has continued her human rights activities: on November 3, she delivered a strongly-worded speech during a ceremony commemorating the 2nd anniversary of Mr. Sattar Beheshti’s death.The Observatory expresses its deepest concern about the ongoing judicial harassment of Ms. Nargess Mohammadi, which seems merely aimed at punishing her for her human rights activities. Considering her pending sentence of six years in prison and her recent human rights activities, the Observatory fears that Ms. Mohammadi’s summons on November 8 may lead to her rearrest on fabricated charges.
Accordingly, the Observatory calls upon the Iranian authorities to guarantee in all circumstances the physical and psychological integrity of Ms. Nargess Mohammadi and all human rights defenders in Iran. Furthermore, the Observatory demands the authorities to immediately and unconditionally put an end to all acts of harassment - including at the judicial level - against Ms. Nargess Mohammadi and all human rights defenders in Iran.

135 Iranian jornalists : STOP LYING
In fact, whenever it comes to answering questions on human rights, he becomes evasive. But when it came to the point of jailing journalists, whether foreign or local, Rouhani chose to simply lie.
But this time, 135 Iranian journalists decided that enough was enough and issued an open letter to Rouhani stating, in nicer words, that he was lying.
This is in tune with the regime’s attitude towards human rights: as far as most Iranian leaders in the regime are concerned, specially the human rights chief Javad Larijani, there is no problem of human rights in Iran.
What they find hard to understand is that if they are evasive and lie about human rights, it makes it harder for the world to believe them on other issues as well and in the nuclear issue in particular.

«تمام تنم می‌سوخت و از درد فریاد می‌زدم، فقط تنها کاری که کردم این بود که لباس‌هایم را از تنم خارج کنم، اما مردمی که دورم جمع شده بودند به‌جای اینکه رویم آب بریزند می‌گفتند چرا لخت شده‌ای؟ لباس‌هایت را تنت کن.»
سهیلای ۲۷ ساله این سخنان را با صورتی باند پیچی شده به خبرنگار می گوید.
او بینایی یکی از چشم هایش را از دست داده و یک چشم دیگرش فقط بیست درصد بینایی دارد......

In the city of Isfahan, in Iran, 14 women have been sprayed with acid in past 10 days.
At least 5 Friday prayer leaders had warned against the improper hijab and one called for "blood to be spilled" to enforce hijab rules.

Charged again : Illicit connections between boy and girl
The youths involved in the making of the “Happy in Tehran” dance video set to Pharrell Williams hit song “Happy” have all been sentenced, receiving suspended sentences of 91 lashes and six months in prison, with the exception of Reyhaneh Ta...ravati, who received a suspended twelve-month prison sentence in addition to the suspended lashes, provided they do not engage in any “wrongdoings” during the next three years. The court ruling was unofficially announced in Tehran today, according to a source who told the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran about the ruling.

25 year old Iranian woman has spent 41 days in solitary confinement for attempting to watch the Iran-Italy volleyball tournament in June 2014....
Ghonche Ghavami was arrested outside Azadi Stadium. She was one of the many Iranian women who attempted to watch the match on June 20th.
Along with other women, she was arrested for demanding to attend the games. On the day of her arrest, her personal belongings were confiscated by the police. She was given a conditional bail that she would not attempt to re-enter the facilities.
Ghoncheh returned 10 days later to collect her belongings from Vozarra Detention Centre. . She was arrested on arrival and transferred to the notorious Evin Prison. Security forces raider her home on the same day.
Ghoncheh has been in prison for over 2 months, despite the fact that all investigations to her case have ended, she is still in detention awaiting a hearing. It was indicated by the officials that the hearing postponed for another two months.

او که همانند بقیه زنان متقاضی حضور در سالن مسابقات والیبال، در همان روز با اخذ تعهد و توقیف وسایل شخصی اش آزاد شده بود، وقتی در روز ۹ تیر برای پس گرفتن لوازم شخصی اش به بازداشتگاه وزرا مراجعه کرد، بار دیگر بازداشت و به یکی از بندهای امنیت زندان اوین منتقل شد.
ماموران در همان روز منزل این دختر ۲۵ ساله را نیز تفتیش کردند و او از آن زمان تا امروز همچنان در بازداشت به سر می برد.
غنچه قوامی ۴۱ روز از مدت بازداشت خود را در سلول انفرادی گذرانده و با وجود پایان یافتن بازجویی های وی، چند روز پیش قرار بازداشت او برای دو ماه دیگر تمدید شده است و حالا بعد از ۶۷ روز تازه خبر بازداشت او منتشر شد.

She was Iran's national poet and an icon of the modern Persian poetry, Iranian intelligentsia and literati who affectionately refer to her as the lioness of Iran. She was nominated twice for the Nobel Prize in literature, and has "received many literary accolades around the world. she was hospitalized in Tehran on 6 august 2014 . she remained in a coma from 6 August until her death 19 August 2014.

I do not live in my homeland
I'm not living there anymore. It was impossible for me to pursuit my scientific ambitions in a place where they are proud of arresting their scientists. But with what cost? I had to leave whatever I loved behind, to only achieve the most basic rights of a human being!

Iran, the world's biggest prison for journalists women
Ten women who work in the media are currently behind bars in the Islamic Republic
The arrest on 22 July of two journalists and a photographer, including the Tehran correspondent of the Washington Post and his Iranian wife, brings to 65 the number of news providers behind bars in Iran. They include 10 women, of whom three are foreign nationals, making Iran the world’s leading jailer of female journalists and netizens.
Reporters Without Borders is extremely concerned by this wave of summonses and arrests aimed mainly at women working in the media, seven of whom have received prison terms of between six months and 20 years.
The Washington Post’s correspondent Jason Rezaian, who has dual US and Iranian nationality, and his Iranian journalist wife Yeganeh Salehi were arrested at their Tehran home. Rezaian, 38, has been the Post’s correspondent in the Iranian capital since 2012. Salehi works for the newspaper The National, based in the United Arab Emirates.
A freelance Iranian-American photographer who works for various news organizations including the Washington Post was also arrested, together with her non-journalist husband. Her family did not want to disclose her identity. The whereabouts of the couple and the reasons for their arrest are not known.
Sajedeh Arabsorkhi was summoned on 18 July by the sentence enforcement court at Evin prison to begin serving a one-year prison term for anti-government propaganda. Since she returned to Iran last September, she has been called in for questioning several times by intelligence agents of the Revolutionary Guards.
“She was sentenced in absentia while she was living in France,” her mother said. “She left Iran legally, with no proceedings against her. The problems began on her return to the country.”
Sajedeh Arabsorkhi is the daughter of the former political prisoner Fazlollah Arabsorkhi, a leading member of an Iranian reformist party.
Marzieh Rasouli was taken back to prison on 8 July to serve a two-year custodial sentence and receive 50 lashes. On 21 June, Rihaneh Tabatabai, a former journalist with the daily Shargh sentenced to a year’s imprisonment, was also placed behind bars. Mahnaz Mohammadi, a journalist and documentary-maker, was admitted to prison on 7 June to begin a five-year sentence.
Reporters Without Borders is particularly worried about the fate of Saba Azarpeyk, a journalist for the monthly Téjarat-é-Farda and the daily newspaper Etemad, who was arrested on 28 May. Where she is being held and on whose authority she was arrested have not been made known, in breach of national and international laws. Her trial took place on 20 and 21 July in a Tehran revolutionary court, in the absence of her legal representive.
Her lawyer said he was not informed of the date of the hearing, but he understood the trial was linked to a prior arrest. Azarpeyk was one of the victims of “Black Sunday”, a repressive operation in January 2013 against media workers in which 19 journalists were arrested.
According to information received by Reporters Without Borders, the journalist has come under extreme pressure because of her investigations into news organizations that are run and financed by the Revolutionary Guards and agents of the ministry of intelligence.
The two security organizations, which are close to Iran’s judicial authorities, have kept the journalist in solitary confinement at a secret location for the past 50 days, in breach of all national and international laws. Her family were allowed to see her briefly during her trial and were shocked at her weakened physical and mental condition.
Foreign nationals in prison
Three of the 10 women news providers currently in prison in Iran are foreign nationals, including the American photographer arrested on 22 July.
Roya Saberi Negad Nobakht, who has dual British and Iranian nationality, and Farideh Shahgholi, a German-Iranian netizen, were arrested for their activities on social media, including Facebook. Up to now, neither the British nor German authorities have made official statements about the detentions.
Nobakht, 47, has been held in custody since October last year and was sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment by a Tehran revolutionary court on 27 May this year on charges of “plotting to commit crimes against security and insulting Islam” for writing on Facebook that everything in Iran was “too Islamic”.
On the same day, seven other netizens were given prison sentences, including Naghmeh Shahi Savandi Shirazi, jailed for seven years and 91 days.
Shahgholi began a three-year sentence on 22 May. Having lived in Germany for 25 years, she was arrested in 2011 during a visit to relatives in Iran. She was charged with anti-government publicity and insulting Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei for comments she made on Facebook, and was unlawfully convicted by the Tehran Revolutionary Court.
“With 65 journalists and netizens in prison, Iran is still one of the world’s biggest prisons for people working in the media,” said Reza Moïni, the head of the Reporters Without Borders Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan desk. “The country is also the leading jailer of women journalists and netizens. The justice authorities, in collusion with the Revolutionary Guards and the ministry of intelligence, flout the rights of women who work in the media. “Nothing came of President Hassan Rohani’s promises to free all prisoners of conscience. His silence makes it easier to crack down on freedom of information. It is his duty to ensure the constitution is applied and he is responsible for the fate of everyone on Iranian soil.”

عنوانش خيلى مختصر است: "اينجا ايران است.. حس پيچيدن باد بين موها، آرزوى هر دختريست".
زنى ايستاده در دشتى سبز، با منظره ى كوهستانى در دوردست. دستانش پوشيده هستند و صورتش محو. موهاى عسلى رنگش تنها راه تشخيص زن بودنش است.
اين يكى از هزاران عكسى است كه براى "آزاديهاى يواشكى" فرستاده اند، صفحه اى در فيسبوك كه اختصاص دارد به زنان ايرانى داخل ايران كه ميخواهند عكسهايى از آزاديهاى يواشكيشان را به اشتراك بگذارند.
"در انگليسى يك اصطلاحى هست كه ميگن گناه لذت بخش، مثل علاقه ى زياد به شكلات" گفته ى مسيح علينژاد روزنامه نگار و سازنده ى اين صفحه است. "براى من، وقتى در ايران بودم، برداشتن حجابم مثل به چالش كشيدن قدرت بود، خصوصا قدرتى كه بر من سلطه داشت".
به گزارش مجله ى وال استريت، با آمدن تابستان، زنان با افزايش سختگيريها و فشارها از سوى پليس امنيت اخلاقى ايران مواجه ميشوند.
براى چند هفته ى اول شروع فصل گرما، وقتى صندل و شلوارهاى كوتاه و تونيكهاى كوتاه رنگى جايشان را به پالتوها و چكمه هاى دلگير زمستانى ميدهند- پليس امنيت اخلاقى ايران نيز به خيابانها يورش مياورد و زنان را به خاطر به معرض ديد گذاشتن ناخنهاى لاك زده، مچ پاها و موهاى هايلايت شده شان تنبيه ميكند. يكى از پروفسوران رشته روانشناسى در دانشگاه تگزاس-آستين و متخصص امور زنان در خاورميانه، خانم Mounire Charrad ميگويد سه نكته در اين عكسها او را تحت تاثير قرار داده است؛ زنانى از نسلهاى متفاوت، كامنتهاى حمايتگر مردان و عكسهايى از زوجها-زنانى كه در كنار شوهرانشان عكس گرفته اند.
به گفته وی، زنان در جاهای مختلف راه هایی برای ابراز قدرت خود یافته اند به گونه ای که خطوط قرمز را نیز رد نکنند، اما مطمئنا 100 هزار نفر با حمایت مادران و همسرانشان به این حرکت پاسخ مثبت داده اند.
از سوى ديگر افراد بزرگ و مهمى نظير نسرين ستوده، فعال حقوق بشر نيز به اين گروه پيوسته اند. عكس و متن نسرین ستوده بيش از ١٠٠٠بار در طول ٢٤ساعت به اشتراك مجدد گذاشته شد.
اگرچه زنان صورتشان را هم در معرض ديد ميگذارند، اما بعضى ها هم با عينك آفتابى يا تغيير زاويه ى دوربين، سعى دارند كمى از وضوح عكسشان و ريسك شناسايى شدن بكاهند.

رسانه های فرانسه:
صدای سانسور شده زنان ایران در فیگارو،
کمپین آزادی های یواشکی برای زنان ایرانی سوم می شروع به کار کرده است و به زنان فرصت می دهد تا تصاویر بدون حجاب خود را در شبکه های اجتماعی منتشر کنند…
زنان ایرانی برای استخدام در جایی باید موهای خود را بپوشاند و حجاب را رعایت کند، اما در این صفحه آنها شجاعانه سرپیچی خود از این ممنوعیت را به اشتراک می گذراند....صدای سانسور شده زنان ایران در فیگارو،
کمپین آزادی های یواشکی برای زنان ایرانی سوم می شروع به کار کرده است و به زنان فرصت می دهد تا تصاویر بدون حجاب خود را در شبکه های اجتماعی منتشر کنند…
مثلا این صفحه یک زن را در مقابل میدان ازادی در تهران نشان دهد که حجاب خود را به دور گردن می اندازد.

Lancée le 3 mai, la campagne « Libertés furtives pour les femmes iraniennes », leur permet de poster des photos sans leur hidjabs sur le réseau social. Plus de 60 000 personnes ont « liké » la page, osant ainsi braver l’interdit.
Les cheveux détachés, une femme se tient devant un panneau où est inscrit « Mes sœurs, respectez le port du hijab ». Une autre pose devant un panneau routier qui indique la direction de Téhéran, son voile détaché autour du cou. Ailleurs, plusieurs iraniennes, lunettes de soleil sur le nez, brandissent leur voile au dessus de leur tête.
Des photos de ce genre, il en existe des dizaines sur la page Facebook « Libertés furtives pour les femmes iraniennes ». Crée le 3 mai dernier, le groupe souligne qu’il n’est pas politisé. « Notre initiative reflète les préoccupations des femmes d’Iran qui font face à des restrictions légales et sociales », peut-on lire. « Toutes les photos et légendes postées ont été envoyées par des femmes venues de tout le pays, ce site est dédié à celles qui veulent partager leur moment de liberté furtive sans le voile. »
À l’origine de ce mouvement, on retrouve la journaliste iranienne Masih Ainejad. En exil au Royaume-Uni, elle travaille pour une émission satirique diffusée clandestinement en Iran. « J'ai simplement demandé aux femmes d'envoyer des selfies de leurs moments privés de liberté», confie-t-elle au site Vocativ. « Lorsque j'étais en Iran, je retirais mon voile lorsque j’étais dans un champs, ou dans un endroit tranquille, et je me demandais combien de femmes iraniennes faisaient la même chose. Apparemment beaucoup. »

Als een vrouw in Iran zonder hoofddoek de straat opgaat, kan ze daar zeventig zweepslagen en zestig dagen gevangenisstraf voor krijgen. Tientallen vrouwen nemen dat risico door snel een foto van zichzelf te maken terwijl ze even ongesluierd zijn en die op de Facebookpagina 'Mijn geheime moment van vrijheid' te zetten.
Er zijn foto's van vrouwen in het park, op pleinen, in de heuvels of in de auto. Anderen dansen met wapperende haren op het strand of voor de ruïnes van Persepolis.
Vrouwen vanuit heel Iran sturen foto's op van hun 'heimelijke moment' en in veel commentaren wordt opgemerkt dat het niet hun eigen keuze is om de hoofddoek te moeten dragen.
Een jonge vrouw merkt op dat het eng was om de foto bij het Golestan Paleis te nemen omdat er zoveel bewakers in de buurt waren - en hoe jammer ze het vindt dat ze er niet meer durfde te maken.
Een andere vrouw vertelt dat ze niet alleen bang was betrapt te worden, maar zich ook zorgen maakte over de reactie van sommige van haar vrienden. 'Maar het is geen zonde', zegt ze. 'De sneeuw in mijn haar is geen zonde.'
'Een van de mooiste momenten die ik ooit heb gevoeld in Iran', vindt weer een ander. 'Ik hoop dat onze vrouwen op een dag zelf kunnen kiezen of ze een hoofddoek willen dragen of niet.'

A woman is still a free and innocent creature
من را با باورهایت تعریف نکن ! بهتر بگویم تحقیر نکن!
من میخواهم آنطور که خود می پسندم لباس می پوشم –قرمز، زرد، نارنجی ،
برای خودم آرایش کنم- گاهی غلیظ، برقصم- گاه آرام ، گاه تند،
بخندم بلند بلند بی اعتنا به اینکه بگویند جلف است یا هر چیز دیگر...
برای خودم آواز بخوانم حتی اگر صدایم بد باشد و فاژ بخوانم، آهنگ بزنم...
و شاد ترین آهنگ ها را گوش دهم، مسافرت بروم حتی تنهای تنها ....

And I want to play the musical instruments and I want to listen to the happiest of the songs..And I want to travel.. even all by myself.
Even if all of these oppose your beliefs about a “good woman”, nothing changes. A woman is still a free and innocent creature.
